Forest on Blackboard - Kanchanaburi

"Forest on Blackboard" has developed environmental education materials and produced example activity plans for teachers. In the last period of the project (2012-2013), we produced a “Teacher’s Manual for Environmental Education in Kanchanaburi” for primary schools (grades 4-6). The material covers forest biodiversity and conservation for sustained forest management near one of Thailand's most important conservation sites, the Western Forest Complex, Kanchanaburi. This book integrates science with social studies, within the local context, increasing understanding of the value of natural resources and forest ecosystems.
