Ms. Kwankhao Sinhaseni (Kimmim)

Kimmim did her BSc special project with FORRU-CMU in 2004-2005 on "Seed Dispersal and Germination of 2 Native Tree Species: Gmelina arborea (Roxb.) and Terminalia chebula Retz. var. chebula". For her MSc thesis, she studied "Natural Establishment of Tree Seedlings in Forest Restoration Trials at Ban Mae Sa Mai, Chiang Mai Province" from 2007 to 2008. She worked as a FORRU field officer and education office from 2007 to 2014 on various projects, most prominently "Training Support for 8 Village School Nurseries at Doi Mae Salong as the Doi Mae Salong and "Restoring Elephant Forest Habitat in Salakpra Conservation Area, West Thailand". Her position was sponsored by Biotropica Australia from 2010. She is currently completing her PhD at Griffith University, on wild pollination services for lychee production, and the economic value of forest restoration for agriculture. She also works at the Bird Conservation Society of Thailand (BCST) and at RECOFTC-the center for People and Forests.
