Krishna graduated with B.Sc. (Honors in Zoology) from St. Joseph’s College, Darjeeling, India in 2006. Since 2007, he has worked as an Environment Officer with the Bhutan Power Corporation Ltd. at Thimphu, Bhutan. In 2017, he won a scholarship to pursue an MSc in Environmental Science (International) at Chiang Mai University (CMU) funded partially by the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) & the Royal Government of Bhutan (2017-2019). For his MSc thesis, Kris carried out with FORRU-CMU on ‘Identifying seed tree species for forest restoration in northern Thailand using an unmanned aerial vehicle’. The field work costs of the project were supported by a FORRU-CMU small-project grant. He has keen interest in automated forest restoration and plans to pursue his Ph.D in this field.
