Education Officer and Research Student (MSc)

Joy gained her MSc with FORRU-CMU in 2007, researching birds as indicators of forest restoration in the upper Mae Sa Valley. From 2005 to 2008, she worked as an Education Officer with FORRU-CMU, helping school teachers and their pupils to establish tree nurseries and plant trees, sponsored by the UK's Eden Project and Darin Initiative. From 2012 to 2016 she was the Project Manager of the “Forest on Blackboard Project” in Kanchanaburi, producing Teaching Manuals on Environmental Education of Kanchanaburi Province at both primary and secondary school levels and continues to assist FORRU-CMU staff with current educational projects on an ad hoc basis.
