Pimonrat joined CMU Biology Department in 2013. She teaches plant ecology, experimental design and data analysis and has develop a new curriculum for MSc students "Forest Restoration Science and Research" under the FRAME program. Her research background includes seed ecology of forest tree species, including seed predation, persistence in the soil and  germination. Her research work with FORRU-CMU focusses on seed-based forest restoration, including direct seeding and aerial seeding. She also organizes FORRU-CMU's annual summer camp for Thailand university students.
