หทัย แสงสุพรรณ

หทัย แสงสุพรรณ ได้ศึกษางานวิจัยภาคสนามในระดับปริญญาเอก (มหาวิทยาลัยโอริกอน) ร่วมกับหน่วยวิจัยการฟื้นฟูป่า ในหัวข้อเกี่ยวกับการฟื้นตัวของต้นกล้าในแปลงการทดลองที่หมู่บ้านแม่สาใหม่ ได้รับการสนับสนุนในปีแรกจากทุนการศึกษาวิจัยฟุลไบรท์ หลังจากจบการศึกษาในระดับปริญญาเอก หทัยเข้าทำงานที่ภาควิชาชีววิทยา วิทยาลัยลินเบนตัน รัฐโอริกอน ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ในตำแหน่งอาจารย์ประจำวิชาชีววิทยาและดิน ซึ่งหทัยยังคงมีแรงผลักดันในต้องการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับการฟื้นฟูป่าเขตร้อนต่อไป
