Mr. Kyuho Lee

Research Student (MSc CMU Environmental Science)

Kyuho, gained a B.Sc.(Agr.) in Forestry from Chungnam National University, South Korea, and worked in the Korea National Park Service and Korea Program for International Agriculture (KOPIA) Cambodia Center. In 2019, he won a CMU Presidential Scholarship and enrolled in CMU's MSc Environmental Science Program. He opted to pursue his thesis research project with FORRU-CMU, on automated monitoring of forest restoration; investigating how conventional RGB photography from a drone might be used to assess forest degradation and restoration. The field costs of his research were partially supported by a grant from FORRU-CMU. He successfully defended his thesis in 2021 and is now preparing it for publication.
