ABSTRACT: This field guide provides information on over 75% of the native tree flora in northern Thailand. It presents descriptions of 430 native tree species, as well as habitat and phenology information, such as flowering and fruiting times and local uses for trees. Identification keys for all major families and genera are provided, as well as synonyms and local tree names. The guide also includes information on the distribution of trees in neighboring countries and cross-references to regional flora. Designed to be accessible to the general public, the guide uses non-technical language and is illustrated with 1,600 photos and 330 drawings.
