Worayut Takaew (Nan)

Nan graduated from CMU's Social Science Faculty, with a B.Sc. in Geography in 2014 and an M.Sc. in Geography and Geoinformatics in 2020. His master's thesis was titled: “Assessment of Land Surface Temperature of Burnt Areas using Thermal Infrared Bands of LANDSAT 8 imagery in Pua District, Nan Province”. He then worked as an assistant researcher with The Royal Project Foundation & The King’s Recommended Project-Support Center (Chiang Mai) and helped the FORRU-CMU field team with mapping restoration plots in Nan Province. He served as FORRU-CMU's full-time Field Research Officer from 2021 to 23). He is now studying for a PhD, on how to recognize tree species in drone imagery, whilst continuing to provide FORRU-CMU projects with drone-related services and outreach.
