Prasit is an associate professor in biology at Chiang Mai University. He has played major roles in several of FORRU-CMU's international research projects, including FORRU’s work on Doi Mae Salong with FAO (on accelerated natural regeneration) and with World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) ("Making the Mekong Connect Project"). His latest role, 2021-24 was the CMU project coordinator of the ERAMUS-funded FRAME project - developing higher education curricula on forest restoration. His specialties include carbon accounting and ethnoecology and he supervises several research students, working at FORRU-CMU's nurseries and field plots.
