Planin graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biology from CMU's Faculty of Science, in 2024. Currently, he is pursuing a master's degree, also at CMU, on the topic of 'Supply and Demand for Seeds of Native Forest Tree Species for Forest-Ecosystem Restoration in Thailand,' funded by a bursary from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew , in the UK under the Global Tree Seed Bank Unlocked (GTSBU) project. He is also volunteering with the Forest Restoration Research Unit (FORRU-CMU) and conducting research on germination of data-deficient tree species in collaboration with the unit.
