FORRU is a product of many peoples time, knowledge and resources, stemming from an array of organisations and institutions. FORRU is grateful for the contributions from the organisations listed below, and proud to be associated with such pro-active and prominent organisations.
British Embassy donated the computer to create our website.
The Biodiversity Research and Training Program (BRT) has funded two past projects on biodiversity in evergreen forests, and presently funds a project on deciduous forest restoration.
Doi Suthep-Pui National Park (DSNP) logisitcal support and partnership for FORRU's work in the national park including a location for the nursery, transport and planning field plots.
Chiang Mai University Science Faculty provides institutional support for FORRU in the Biology Department, awards a small annual grant to support FORRU as a research unit of the Science Faculty, and funded on project " Propagation and Field Performance of Indigenous Forest Tree Species for Environmental Protection 2003-05".
Plant a Tree Today (PATT) Foundation was formed in 2005 with it's mission to react to problems caused by the massive and increasing levels of deforestation worldwide, raise awareness of enviromental issues and the role of forests pay, take action against climate change, education children on this issues and to plant more trees. PATT supported tree planting in 2006 at Ban Mae Sa Mai (Hmong village in northern Thailand).
East Malling Research (EMR) acts as our partner /co-ordinator for the two Darwin Initiative projects. 1. 'Education and training for restoring tropical forest biodiversity' 2002-05 and, 2. 'Facillitating forest restoration for biodiversity recovery in Indochina' 2005-08.
Wildlife Landscapes (David Blakesly) provides research advice and training for nursery staff, as well as administration of Darwin Initiative projects.
 
Eden Project originally funded research and are now funding local outreach projects; 'Trees for Thailand' is the current project.
Darwin Initiative originally funded local outreach projects, and now funds our international projects in China, Cambodia and Laos.
World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Thailand Program, with funding from King Power Duty Free Co. Ltd., is supporting tree planting in 2006-2008 and the building of a nursery and learning center at Ban Mae Sa Mai (Hmong villlage in northern Thailand).

For 18 years through many changes and difficulties; strong management, clear vision, hard efforts and excellent co-operation have guided King Power Duty Free Co. Ltd. to become the leader of the duty free and tax free business in Thailand today. The company is very proud to take part in the development of the country. They have contributed the amount of 7,000 million baht in concession fees to the Thai government, but, are now also helping to support organizations involved with conservation activities.

 

The International Foundation For Science is supporting FORRU's research into the phenology and propogation of rare tree species in Thailand.
The International Union For The Conservation Of Nature (IUCN), is working with FORRU and Thailand's Office of Supreme Command on the reforestation project at Doi Mae Salong.
